De Soto Water Billing System Offline April 13-24 for Upgrade

The City of De Soto announced that its water utility billing system will be unavailable from April 13 through April 24 as the city transitions to a new platform. During that period, payments will not be accepted, and staff will be undergoing training on the new system.

City officials said no late penalties will be assessed for the April billing cycle and no service shut-offs for non-payment will occur while the system is offline. Residents are asked to limit calls to the water utility office to emergency situations only during the transition period so staff can focus on implementation and training.

According to the city, a new online utility payment portal is expected to be available to customers by May 1, 2026. The city said it will share the portal link once it is live. Residents experiencing water-related emergencies during the transition may still contact the office.
