Seckman High Students Raise Over $4,000 for Coaches vs. Cancer

Two Seckman High School students in Jefferson County raised $4,327 for the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer campaign. Brooklyn Sauer and Avery Gardiner organized the effort, which began as a pink out game and expanded into a broader fundraising initiative.

The students recently presented the American Cancer Society with a check for the full amount. According to the Fox C-6 School District, the total was the highest raised by any high school in the area.

In recognition of the achievement, local business Team Sideline awarded Seckman High School a $5,000 credit.
