Allan Nocker

Allan Nocker, age 81, passed away on May 18, 2026 at his home in Poth, Texas. He was born on May 14,1945 in San Antonio,Texas.

Allan worked as an insurance claims manager for many years. He was an avid bird watcher who traveled with his wife to the South Texas area observing birds and making friends with fellow birders. He particularly enjoyed Corpus Christi,Texas. He also enjoyed native plant gardening. He was a great lover of British history with a vast collection of British literature and memorabilia.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Henry Nocker and Lottie Pauline Hoffman Nocker and his brother Robert “Bob” Nocker.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 28 years, Mary Magdalen Nocker; sister-in-law Mary Frances Nocker, brother-in-law Ray Swientek (Kelly), niece Mary Lynn Hejjaj, nephews Patrick Nocker and Edward Nocker (Julie), Neil Swientek, Troy Swientek, (Danielle), Chad Swientek, as well as extended family and friends.

A private graveside service is pending at Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery in Poth, Texas.

Rev. David Randall Middleton

Rev. David Randall Middleton “The Cross Guy”, 76, of Hillsboro, Missouri, entered into the loving arms of his Lord on May 14, 2026, surrounded by his family at Mercy Hospital South.

He was born on December 4, 1949, in Park Hills, Missouri, to the late Lemion Samuel Middleton and Alberta Opal (Briley) Middleton.

Rev. David served the United States of America in the United States Army during Vietnam, where he was an Assistant Chaplain.

Rev. David faithfully served as lead pastor for several churches before founding his ministry, Nation Without the Cross Is Lost. He was widely known throughout Jefferson County, especially in De Soto, for his unwavering faith, his dedication to preaching the Gospel, and for carrying his cross through the community. Rev. David was also instrumental in establishing Impact with a Backpack, an annual outreach program providing school supplies to youth throughout Jefferson County.

A gifted musician, Rev. David loved singing and playing his guitar, often sharing music while carrying his cross and ministering to others.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 55 years, Sandra Jane Middleton of Hillsboro, Missouri; sons, David Samuel (Amanda) Middleton of Noblesville, Indiana, Joshua Caleb Middleton of Imperial, Missouri, and Timothy Randall Middleton of Hillsboro, Missouri; sister, Faye (the late Jim) Stahlschmidt of High Ridge, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Rev. David was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Scot Middleton; brothers, Stanley Leroy Middleton, Carlos Ray Middleton, and Lemion Merlin Middleton; sisters, Deborah Marler and Tonya Blackwell; and great granddaughter, Genesis Middleton.

Funeral services will be held at Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto Chapel, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Timothy Middleton officiating. Interment will follow at Glade Chapel Cemetery in Hillsboro, Missouri.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the care of Todd Mahn and Mahn Funeral Homes, De Soto, Missouri.
